Minneapolis, MN (December 16th, 2006)

RMC Project Management, the innovator in project management training and development since 1991, has announced the worldwide release of its newest project management book, PM Crash Course™ Premier Edition by Rita Mulcahy. The book, officially released on December 15th of 2007, is subtitled "A Revolutionary Guide to What REALLY Matters When Managing Projects," and is designed to provide busy project managers with tools and techniques that they can use immediately to increase the success of current projects.

The 16-chapter, 194-page resource covers real-world issues like breaking work into manageable pieces, finding and using historical information, managing stakeholders, finalizing objectives, preventing scope creep, heading off problems before they occur and a variety of other project management issues. In addition, the book contains dozens of Rita Mulcahy's extremely popular Tricks of the Trade®—as well as 13 'In the Field' techniques submitted by currently active project managers as part of RMC's annual Tricks of the Trade® Contest.

Although she has been teaching project management tools and fundamentals across the globe for the last 15 years, PM Crash Course™ Premier Edition is Ms. Mulcahy's first attempt at trying to fit her most valuable tools and techniques into a single project management resource. "If someone told me they had one day to learn project management and apply PM techniques to their current project, I would tell them everything in this book," stated Mulcahy. "This is NOT a book about project management theory, but rather a resource that will teach people what they can do in the real-world TODAY to increase the success of their projects."

Eric Rudolf, RMC's Director of Marketing, believes the book fills a critical need within the project management industry. "For every person who manages projects full-time as a career, there are hundreds of people who do it part time, or who were thrust into a project management situation with little or no formal training," noted Rudolf. "One month before it was released, our waiting list for this book was over 2,500 people for a reason—until Rita's book came along, this group of people was basically ignored."

In addition to the hard copy book, RMC plans to release a complete suite of ancillary products over the next 12 months based on the PM Crash Course™ theme. In fact, RMC has already scheduled 24 dates for its new 1-day intensive classroom-based training course titled "PM Crash Course: Real-World Tools for Real-World Projects," and the audio version of the book itself should be available in CD-ROM and downloadable format by mid-February of 2007. Parties interested in purchasing Rita's new book or registering for the 1-day class are encouraged to contact RMC directly.
